Arrive Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar (Flt.) . Morning post breakfast on time transfer to airport to board the flight for Bhubaneswar. Upon arrival assistance and check-in hotel. Bhubaneswar has some stunning temples clustered around the Bindusagar Tank. Of the original 7000 only 500 remain dating from the 7th century to the 11th century. Of these the most outstanding is the 11th century Lingaraja Temple which represents the peak of Orissa art and the late 10th century and beautifully decorated Muktesvara temple which belongs to the end of the phase of temple building. Close to the Mukteswara Temple is the Parsurameswara Temple, a small but richly decorated shrine of Shiva that was built in the 7th century. It is one of the best preserved. It has sculptures featuring amorous couples, animals and floral motifs. In the evening we visit the great temples of Lord Shiva: The Lingraj Temple and Parusurameshwara Temple. Outside the city limits are the twin hills of Udayagiri and Khandgiri caves which dates back to the 2nd century BC , during the time of Jain and Buddhist occupation of this region. The Jain caves are among the earliest in India and all the caves were built during the 150 years before Christ. In contrast to the stark decor of the Jain caves, the Buddhist caves are decorated with excellent friezes and sculptures. In the evening drive back to Bhubaneswar for overnight stay at hotel.

Bhubaneswar- Lalitgiri - Ratnagiri - Udaigiri -Bhubaneswar (170 kms/4 hrs).

Baliguda is in the district of Phulbani through the beautiful countryside road full with small mountains of Sal forest, one of the entry point to thetribal highland of Orrisa. Baliguda-Kotagarg-Raygada: Today after breakfast you will make a visit to the Barakhamba area to trekk to some of the remote villages of Desia Kondh tribes. you can trekk/hike short or long trek as you wish then proceed to explore the villages of the kondh Tribes. Living in the mountain / forest cores ,Kondha tribes  of Orissa are friendly tribal community. Lunch on the way. Drive down to Rayaguda. Rayagada-Chatikona-Jeypore: Visit to most interesting Dongria Kondh tribal areas in the Niyamgiri hills. This is the market day , so the tribal people leave their villages early in the morning and come down to the weekly market. You can watch the Dongria kondhs men and women coming down from their mountains with different kinds of fruits and animals etc. to the weekly market.We must coincide our time so that we can meet them on their way before they reach the market .Then you can come down to see their interesting weekly tribal market where they mix with other community.The weekly market at Chatikona where the different commuities and the local people   barter is an interesting event to watch. Jeypore-Ankadeli-Lamptaput-jeypore

Jeypore-Ankadeli-Lamptaput-jeypore: Morning the area we visit is the weekly market  of the  Bondas tribes of Orissa. They live in the remote hills and keep themselves isolated. They grow rice by shifting cultivation and keep domesticated cows and goats. They can be seen when they come to trade at the local market, and we must time our visit to coincide with the weekly market day on Thursday. The Bonda women are noticeable by their bead necklaces, striking brass and silver necklets and their shaved heads decorated with plaits of Palmyra leaves. You will also see the other tribes like , Godabas,Parajas and Mali tribes. Afternoon drive back to Jeypore enroute visiting the pottery village Bapaniguda,Siriguda and Paraja tribal village at Litiput. Jeypore-Kunduli-JEYPORE: After breakfast, proceed to witness the biggest tribal weekly market of Sanaparoja & Mali tribes in Kunduli 65 km away via Sunabeda. It is a very colorful market. later visit to some of the interesting mali and paraja tribal villages and learn about their way of living . Afthernoon drive back to jeypore enroute visiting jagannath temple at Koraput and the tribal museum. Distance covered 140 kms Drive Time 3 hours +visit).

Jeypore-Gupteswar-Jeypore:After breakfast You can proceed to Gupteswar- 70 km to visit the villages of very interesting dhuruba tribe. The dhruba tribal living in the border of chhatisgarh are known for their unique tradition and culture .. Walk/trek to some of their villages and meet these  tribes in their village deep inside the forest.
