Art and HandicraftsOdisha is renowned for its vibrant art and handicrafts tradition. The state is famous for its intricate silver filigree work, known as “Tarakashi,” and exquisite handloom textiles like Sambalpuri sarees and Bomkai sarees. Pattachitra, a traditional form of cloth-based scroll painting, and appliqué work are also significant art forms in Odisha.

Odissi Dance: Odissi, one of the classical Indian dance forms, originated in Odisha. It is characterized by its graceful movements, intricate footwork, and expressive gestures. Odissi dance often depicts stories from Hindu mythology, and its performances are a significant part of the state’s cultural heritage.

Schedule Details

Day 01: Arrival – Transfer to Puri

Day 01: Arrival – Transfer to Puri

On arrival at Biju Patnaik International Airport / Railway Station, Bhubaneswar, guests are received and transferred to Puri, one of India’s most sacred coastal pilgrimage destinations. On arrival, check in at the hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure to relax after the journey or enjoy a quiet walk along Puri Beach.

Day 02: Puri – Sri Jagannath Temple Visit

Day 02: Puri – Sri Jagannath Temple Visit

Early morning visit to the revered Sri Jagannath Temple, one of the four Char Dham pilgrimage sites of Hinduism (darshan as per temple regulations). After breakfast, the day is free for personal activities, local temple visits, or experiencing the spiritual atmosphere of the holy town. We will provide local assistance .

Day 03: Puri – Day Free at Leisure

After breakfast, the entire day is free for leisure. Guests may relax at the beach, explore local markets, or opt for optional activities such as  visits to nearby temples.

Day 04: Puri – Konark Sun Temple – Puri

After breakfast, proceed on a day excursion to Konark to visit the magnificent Sun Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, celebrated for its chariot-shaped structure and intricate stone carvings. Also visit the Konark Interpretation Centre and enjoy some time at Chandrabhaga Beach. Return to Puri by evening enroute visiting the Ramachandi Temple .

Day 05: Puri – Satapada (Chilika Lake) – Puri

Day 05: Puri – Satapada (Chilika Lake) – Puri

After breakfast, proceed for a full-day excursion to Satapada, located on the eastern edge of Chilika Lake, Asia’s largest brackish water lagoon. Enjoy a boat cruise through the lagoon, offering opportunities to spot the rare Irrawaddy dolphins and observe the unique lake–sea confluence. Return to Puri in the evening.

Day 06: Puri – Raghurajpur Artisan Village – Ugratara Shakti Peetha – Gopalpur-on-Sea

After breakfast and check-out, drive towards Gopalpur-on-Sea. En route, visit  Raghurajpur Artisan Village, a heritage crafts village renowned for Pattachitra paintings, palm-leaf engravings, and traditional Gotipua dance traditions & Ugratara Shakti Peetha , an important Tantric shrine dedicated to Goddess Tara. After darshan, continue to Gopalpur. On arrival, check in at the beach resort. The evening is free to relax by the sea.Overnight stay at Gopalpur.

 

Day 07: Gopalpur – Taratarini Temple – Gopalpur

After breakfast, proceed on a short excursion to Taratarini Temple, one of Odisha’s most revered Shakti Peethas, situated atop twin hills overlooking the Rushikulya River. After darshan and enjoying the panoramic surroundings, return to Gopalpur. The remainder of the day is free for leisure and beach activities.

Day 8: Gopalpur- Taptapani- Chandragiri - Gopalpur

After breakfast drive to Chandragiri a Tibetan refugee colony known as Mini Tibet, situated in between the lush green forest - a unique Destination for the Buddhist, where we can visit Jirang Monastery one of the largest Buddhist Monastery in India. Later Proceed to Taptapani the hot sulfur water spring. On the way back to Gopalpur visit Padmanavpur cotton Sari weaving village. Evening free for independent activities. Overnight stay will be at Gopalpur. (120 KMS/3 HRS ONE WAY)

Day 9 - Gopalpur –Mangalajodi - Bhubaneswar

After breakfast and check-out, drive back to Bhubaneswar enroute visiting Mangalajodi Bird Sanctuary ( Chilka ) . Mangalajodi is a small place in Orissa situated at a distance of about 70 km from capital city Bhubaneswar. The village on the banks of Chilika Lake renders an eye-catching scenic beauty and attracts visitors for its vast wetlands with many migrating birds.Late afternoon , arrive Bhubaneswar and Rest of the day free for shopping at Bhubaneswar . Overnight at Bhubaneswar 

Day 10-Bhubaneswar Sightseeing

After breakfast, embark on a full-day sightseeing tour of Bhubaneswar, the Temple City of India. Visit the ancient Udayagiri and Khandagiri Jain Caves, followed by the Odisha State Museum, showcasing archaeology, tribal culture, palm-leaf manuscripts, and classical art. Also visit the ancient  prominent temples dating back to 7th - 11th Century AD .such as LingarajMukteswar, and Rajarani, etc.Overnight stay at Bhubaneswar.

Day 11: Bhubaneswar -Home (Departure) -
